2.4. The past progressive (El pasado progresivo)
Past Progressive (Past Continuous)
- The past progressive puts emphasis on the course of an action in the past. El tiempo pasado progresivo hace énfasis en las acciones que estaban ocurriendo en el pasado y básicamente otra acción también ocurria; es necesario el uso del verbo to be en pasado (was-were) y agregar la terminación “ing” a todos los verbos en conjugación.
- Al español una frase se entendería asi:
Janeth was playing cards with Emily = Janeth estaba jugando cartas con Emily.
